10 Pages of Christmas

Hi Layout Chicks

Here is a preview of all 10 Pages of Christmas. You can purchase a kit of these pages (link is over on the right side of the blog) or I also included a master shopping list if you want to purchase the materials and make them on your own. Layout for September 1, 2011 and August 25

Hi Chicks

Here is our layout for this Thursday- it is the last page of summer.

Using a big letter on a layout is a really fun way to work in more patterned paper and a design element at the same time. I included an entire alphabet in your directions for you to play with.

I also used some- gasp- PAINT! How many of you have purchased paint and stamps that have been sitting around in your scrapbook stuff? Get it out and use it. It is a cool texture, and a really cool way to do titles.

So enjoy this week's page. I am also including photos of last week's layout, that I totally forgot to post on our blog- duh. I was in the midst of computer melt down last week.

Layout for August 18 2011

Hi Chicks

Here is another page to commerate Summer- but this is one of my all time favorite designs, it can be used for ANY occasion.

I included some tips on the 3rd page of the directions about using painted staples. If you have taken class from me, you know this trick, but if you haven't it is a great technique.

I also used some other fun summery embellishments like white eyelets, large photo corners and ribbon. Have fun and enjoy these sunny days (finally for us Seattlites!)

Layout for August 11, 2011

Oh I think I have Disney fever!

When Darcie and I go to CHA in January 2012 we are DEFINITELY going to D-land for at least one day. I am already excited.

So I decided to re- do a page from a few years ago- its all about Our Favorite Place.

I love a layout like this because you can use any 2 pieces of patterned paper and then cardstock. Lots of spots for photos and lots of fun details like ribbon, tags, etc. The large yellow photo mat is sized for 4- 4x4 photos or you can use some full 4x6's and a 4x3.

Have a great week-

Layout for August 4 2011

Hi Thursday Layout Chicks

This week I am still showing you some great ways to scrapbook those vacation/beach photos.

I love a layout that has room for some fun embellishments and still space for pictures. The ribbon trim and the coordinating stickers add fun texture to the layouts.

I used 7 different photos on my pages- a few of them were sized down, and my main photo was enlarged to a 5x7. You could also journal in one of the spots that has photos.

Have fun and Happy Scrapping!

Layout for June 9, 2011

Hi Thursday Layout Chicks

Our pages today are all about Dad. The paper collection is the The Paper Company-if you are local to Seattle they have it at Ben Franklin in Redmond.

I also did a trip to the hardware store for these pages using 2 different sizes of metal washers. They add such a cool looking texture and shine to the pages.

I used my Cricut to cut the title- the cartridge is Designers Calendar. You could absolutely do the same type of title using sticker letters or Thickers.

I hope you are having a great week!

Layout for June 2nd 2011

Hi Layout Chicks

Sorry I am late again this week- I have been having trouble getting files to upload in the evenings- sometimes I get very cranky with our Comcast high speed connection!

This week's page is one of my favorite color combos- Red, White and Blue. You can definitely use these pages for Memorial Day photos, 4th of July or really any summer snapshots.

I did some faux stitching around the denim patterned paper- I show you how to do that technique in the video below. I love to do real stitching on my layouts, but I also like figuring out ways to get that same effect without dragging out my sewing machine. I also used some flat metal star charms from my stash - old ones by Making Memories. You could also use some punches, die cut some shapes or use a dimensional embellishment in those spots.

Enjoy!
